DETROIT (WNEM) -

Veterans Day is just around the corner, but one Michigan city is apparently the worst city for veterans.

That’s according to a new study by WalletHub.

The study used data including the percentage of military skill-related jobs and the availability of Veterans Affairs health facilities in the 100 most populated cities in the United States.

Detroit was ranked 100.

The Motor City was ranked 100 for economic wellness and 98 for environment, education and health.

Detroit also has the third highest rate of veterans living below the poverty line, according to the study.

The best city for veterans in Irvina, Calif., according to WalletHub.

The study ranked Irvine No. 1 for economic wellness and 23 for environment, education and health.
