FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A Flint councilman was found guilty of impaired driving.

The charge comes from a wrong-way driving case two years ago.

Eric Mays was driving the wrong way down I-475 in 2013. The jury said he was visibly impaired, said John Potbury, Genesee County assistant prosecutor.

The jury also found Mays not guilty of failing to report an accident.

Mays was sentenced at the 67th District Court in Flint on Jan. 5 to 30 days in jail.

He received credit for two days of time service, and will spend 28 days in jail.
