LINDEN, MI (WNEM) -

An 18-year-old suspect who is accused of planning to attack a middle and high school is facing additional, unrelated charges.

Ryan Stevens, 18, planned to open fire at Linden middle and high school on Oct. 30, police said. Two 15-year-olds, Lamar Dukes and Cody Brewer, were also involved in planning the attack, police said.

The FBI and local officers were able to stop the planned attacked. During their investigation they discovered criminal content on Steven's personal cell phone.

The Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton and the Argentine Township Police Department held a press conference on Dec. 21 where they announced the additional charges against Stevens.

"There were some very disturbing images that were found on his cell phone," Leyton said.

Leyton said Stevens lived with an older woman who provided him money to rent a room at the Red Roof Inn in Flint Township. Stevens allegedly recorded and produced a video of a 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl performing sexual acts at the inn.

"He was essentially directing the making of a pornographic video that involved two minors. It was a fifteen year old male having sex with a thirteen year old female in the video," Leyton said.

Stevens is charged with five felony counts including third degree criminal sexual conduct, child sexually abusive activity, using a computer to commit a crime, distributing or promoting child sexually abusive activity, and possession of child sexually abusive material.

Leyton said these images helped shed some light on the motive behind the school shooting plot. He said Stevens had a conflict with a female student.

"She had posted something that was essentially derogatory towards Stevens. [He] saw it and the result he was going to get revenge," Leyton said. "And revenge involved violence against her and violence against the school."

The 15-year-old in the video is not one of the suspects involved in the shooting plot. He is facing juvenile charges in relation to the video.
