LANSING, MI (WNEM) -

Governor Snyder told Lansing-based radio talk show host Steve Gruber he will veto the so-called guns everywhere bill as it is currently written if it gets to his desk.

The legislation would allow concealed guns in restricted areas like schools by allowing permit holders to get an exemption to carry into so-called “gun-free” zones. Snyder said he might support the bill if it gave the option for communities to approve, or ban guns in schools.

Snyder vetoed a similar gun bill back in 2012.
