FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A cash reward up to $2,500 is being offered to help crack a cold case murder.

Rodney Boynton, 21, was shot multiple times in February, 1999.

Investigators say he had left his girlfriend’s apartment to buy cigarettes. Thirty minutes later he returned to 1202 W. Fifth Avenue in Flint, and while walking through an interior common hallway he was shot.

The suspect shot from outside of the apartment and through a window.
