AAA projects that more than 1.5 million people from Michigan plan to travel this year for the Thanksgiving holiday, the most since 2007.

During the long holiday weekend, the auto club says nearly 1 percent more than last year from Michigan are expected to go 50 miles or more from home. Most of those traveling plan to be driving. Others making trips will be taking planes, buses or trains.
