FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Do you want to travel somewhere warm for spring break, but can’t afford it?

A new airline coming to Bishop International Airport just made traveling to Florida cheaper.

However, you have to act fast. The offer is only valid on flights purchased by Nov. 23.

Craig Williams, airport director, said the airline's arrival is an opportunity for Flint and Genesee County.

"Their fares are very competitive, very competitive, it will be a good thing, that lasts long," Williams said.

Allegiant Airlines announced on Thursday it will be offering non-stop flights from Flint to Tampa and Orlando, Florida starting in April.

The company is currently offering one-way fares to the sunny cities for as low as $45 one way. That includes taxes and fees.

The Tampa flights begin service on April 13 and the Orlando flights begin April 14.

If you take advantage of the $45 fare deal, you have to travel by Aug. 17.

The flights to Tampa and Orlando will operate twice weekly, the airport said in a press release.

That's just the start, according to Eric Fletcher, the manager of airports for Allegiant Air.

"We expect it to be just the beginning and it things go well, we will continue expanding," Fletcher said.

Information on the deal and flights can be found at Allegiant.com.
