SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Mike Stowe is making sure the shelves are stocked and the snow blowers are ready to wheel out.

"Yeah, it's coming finally," Stowe said.

He's the assistant manager at the Kochville Township Home Depot, which is prepping for this weekend's forecasted arrival of winter weather.

"We've had a few people coming in for shovels, we've sold a lot of snow blowers this year already. So the traffic is starting to pick up more now with the forecast that's generating for Saturday," Stowe said.

The shelves were lined with bags of salt, shovels and ice scrapers.

Stowe recommends stocking up now before the big rush as the weather moves in.

"I'd recommend coming in now. But, we always have a full supply of rock salt on hand. We can run low, but we've never run out," Stowe said.

Above all, Stowe said to stay safe when dealing with the possible accumulating snow.

"Just bundle up, get the gloves, get the hat. Just bundle up. Just be prepared. It will come, just get out there, get the shovels going," Stowe said.
