Investigators return one grave marker, still looking for second owner

Posted: Updated:

Investigators are hoping you can place two grave markers found in Mid-Michigan.

The markers were found in the 5000 block of E. Valley Road in Isabella County’s Union Township.

They are for Frank A. Tardiff, 1878-1950, and Cecil E. O’Donnell, 1907-1962.

Cecil O'Donnell's daughter was tracked down by police. She told police her father's grave site had the marker on it.

Isabella County Sheriff Leo Mioduscewski said these may have been duplicate markers, but tracking down the family of Frank A. Tardiff will shed more light on the matter.

Someone living in the area found the markers and turned them over to the sheriff’s department.

While deputies are working with local funeral homes to try and identify family members, they’re asking if you know anything, please call the Isabella County Sheriff’s Department at 989-772-5911 or Central Dispatch at 989-773-1000.
