Two men have been arrested in connection to an assault and robbery of a disabled man.

The victim is a 23-year-old resident of Pontiac and suffers from cerebral palsy, police said.

He was robbed of his cell phone while he was inside of his apartment at Phoenix Place Apartments on Nov. 29. He followed the suspects and they allegedly beat him up inside a stairwell at the complex, police said.

The suspects allegedly videotaped the assault using the stolen cellphone and posted it to the victim’s Facebook page, as well as their personal pages.

The two suspects were arrested on Nov. 30 in Oakland County.

A search warrant was executed at the residence where the suspects were arrested and that led to the discovery of the victim’s cell phone, police said.

Nikey Walker, 20, and Shadeed Bey, 20, have been charged with home invasion, unarmed robbery, and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. The assault charge is a 10 year felony.

Both suspects have previous criminal records.

“Preying on those in our community who suffer from disabilities will not be tolerated and furthermore, to have the audacity to post their actions on the victim’s page is beyond belief,” said Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.

Walker and Bey were arraigned on Dec. 1. They both received a $25,000 bond.
