Clerk robbed at knife point, still able to write down suspect's license plate

MIDLAND COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two men have been arrested, charged with robbing a store at knife point.

It happened Dec. 2 at 5:59 p.m. at the Country Store II in Midland County’s Geneva Township.

Deputies say a man walked into the convenience store with a knife and demanded cash. When the clerk handed over the money, and the man left, the clerk walked to the parking lot and was able to write down the license plate of the suspect’ s vehicle.

Investigators were then able to identify two suspects, and take them into custody.

One suspect is a 19-year-old Midland man, the other is a 37-year-old man from Mt. Pleasant.

Deputies say that the money taken in the robbery, and the clothes the suspect were wearing was found during the arrests.

The suspects’ names are being withheld pending their arraignments.
