SANILAC COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two men were injured in a vehicle accident on Saturday.

It happened at the intersection of M-19 and Galbraith Line Road in Sanilac County’s Speaker Township about 4:15 p.m.

A 75-year-old Yale man was traveling south on M-19 when he attempted to turn east on Galbraith Line Road and struck a 2002 Trailblazer, police said.

The trailblazer, driven by a 31-year-old Port Huron man, left the roadway and struck two trees.

The Port Huron man was pinned inside the vehicle and had to be freed by the Jaws of Life, police said.

He was transported to McKenzie Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The Yale man sought his own treatment.

Witnesses told police speed was a factor in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
