An alleged threat lead to a chase and finally an arraignment for a Mid-Michigan man.

Anthony Dominquez was arraigned today on charges of making terror threats against the Grand Blanc Township Police Department.

“He made some threats to the township employee that he was going to come shoot up the place,” said Detective Todd Gilbert.

Gilbert says Dominquez allegedly made the threats on Friday, and when officers went to arrest him at his Flint home, Dominquez ran.

Gilbert says Dominquez was trying to get back some personal property that had been reportedly taken from him during a prior arrest.

He called a Grand Blanc Township clerk, but was redirected to the police department. That’s when officers say he got agitated, and threatened to get a gun and shoot up the department.

“With events that are happening in and around the United States and the world; any threat of violence like that, we have to take very seriously,” said Gilbert.

Police tell TV5 that Dominquez has a lengthy criminal background that goes back as far as the 1970s.
