District courts consolidating

Posted: Updated:
GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Two district courts in Mid-Michigan are consolidating.

The District Courts of Genesee County are joining together. The 68th District Court will be abolished and instead, become the 5th Division of the 67th Court.

Previously, the 68th District Court served the city of Flint and was also funded by Flint. With the elimination of the court, the new division will be funded by Genesee County.

The locations and hours for the district court will remain the same.

Felony matters will be heard at the Flint court. All other matters will be heard at current court locations.
