SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

The 10th annual Sharing Hope Radiothon took place on Wednesday at TV5’s radio partner WSGW's studios in Saginaw.

The goal of the event was to raise $30,000 for the rescue ministries of Mid-Michigan with facilities in Bay City and Saginaw.

"Everything that comes through goes directly to the people that need it most in the community, we're just so glad to be doing this," said Dave Mauer, WSGW.

Charlie Rood, WSGW, said, "Over the ten years that we've been doing this radiothon upwards of $300,000 donated, it's very humbling, very meaningful not but for those who go for the services of the rescue mission and find that night of hope and care that they need to get back on track."

And just before the radiothon wrapped up at 6 p.m., it raised a little more than $41,000.
