FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

"There's entertainment for everybody.  From live bands to DJ's to the arctic lounge to fireworks there's a ton going on," said Jenny Butynski.

Butynski is all pumped up for the New Year's Eve party at the Flint Farmer's Market.

Butynski is expecting anywhere from 800 to 1,000 people to ring in the new year, in style and with the help from various divisions in Genesse County.

The Flint Downtown Development Authority, Town Square Media and Black Tie Productions are teaming up for the event.

“What we are putting on a focus this year is production trying to bring a big city party to downtown Flint,” said Craig Center, Black Tie Productions. “This will be like something you see in Chicago, Grand Rapids, New York. Just in the dance club area there is going to be smoke guiders and confetti – it is going to be the real big thing going on New Year’s Eve.”

The biggest party in Flint is also going to have the biggest screen to see Michigan State take on Alabama, on a 15 foot by 20 foot screen.
