ROSEVILLE, MI (AP) -

A district judge has ordered a suburban Detroit man to stand trial in connection with the molestation of a 12-year-old girl who played on one of his soccer teams.

The Macomb Daily of Mount Clemens reports that the girl testified Wednesday at Jason Niemasz's preliminary examination that the incident occurred during a Nov. 14 sleepover with friends at his Roseville home.

The girl eventually told her parents. Niemasz was arrested Dec. 10 and is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The girl met Niemasz's daughter while playing soccer with the American Youth Soccer Organization in Warren.

Defense attorney Steven Kaplan said the girl played on one of Niemasz's teams. He also said the 33-year-old Niemasz denies the allegations.

Niemasz is due to appear Jan. 11 in Macomb Circuit Court.
