HURON COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Someone broke into a sportsman’s club, stole cash, and caused hundreds of dollars in damage.

It happened at the Ubly Fox Hunters Club on S. Ubly Road in Huron County’s Verona Township.

The Sheriff’s Department reports that between 11:30 Wednesday night and 10:30 Thursday morning someone got into the building through a window after apparently trying to disable an alarm.

An unknown amount of cash was taken from two locked boxes, and the suspect caused $1,000 in damage.

Investigators believe it’s possible that whoever is responsible may have had knowledge of the building and what was inside.
