Powdered alcohol banned before sale in Michigan

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Powered alcohol is a substance you can mix with water to make an alcoholic drink. Lawmakers discussed the issued at great length in 2015.

Eventually, they banned the powder, even though it's never been sold in Michigan.

Because of the ability to conceal the substance, opponents argued it's too easy for teens to get their hands on it, but others said ultimately, it should be the parents' responsibility to control their kids.
