Plowing company rescues those unable to plow

SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Even though it didn't snow in every part of Mid-Michigan, where it did, it kept coming and coming.

More than a half a foot piled up in parts of Saginaw.

Removal teams were out in full force and so was the TV5 Rescue Squad, helping a few people who need a hand.

Tom Goodell and ABO Tent Events and snowplowing joined forces with TV5, and they cleared the path for two families who would have been stranded otherwise.

"It's a god send, look at you, what'd you do? Oh my God, you got all the way through there, how you do that?" said Pam Jean.

Jean has respiratory allergies and can't be out in the cold for long.

"Angels. They're angels, they're a blessing," Jean said.

ABO cleared her driveway in just minutes, before she even knew the help was here, they were gone.

"I'm so scared of you guys. Please edit this properly," Jean said, laughing.

Not too far away, Goodell and his team also cleared the way for Callie Fentress, woman simply isn't able to get out to tackle the snow.

Her daughter, Elaine, said the guys lifted a heavy burden.

"It is such a blessing, I appreciate that, they even brought salt, it's such a grand blessing for us," Elaine Fentress said.

Goodell says he is happy to help because he knows people in this community need it.

And not everybody can afford it.

"I usually come by, honk the horn, they get out of the way, and I knock it out real quick for them," Goodell said.
