Trio sought in connection with scam

Posted: Updated:
BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Police are asking for your help tracking down three subjects in connection with a local scam.

The Buena Vista Township Police Department was contacted by a Speedway Gas Station, located at 3357 E. Holland, about a scam that happened on Dec. 11.

At two different times, three men went into the gas station, and got pre-paid Visa cards. Police are now asking for the public’s help identifying the men.

They are all believed to be 20-to-30-years old. They arrived in a silver, or gray 4-door vehicle, possibly a late model Chevy Malibu. The vehicle is missing the rear driver side hubcap.

Police are not releasing details of the scam at this time.

If you have any information, call the Buena Vista Police Department at 989-753-7793 or the tip-line 989-233-2363 or Crime Stoppers at 800-422-JAIL (5245).
