FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A jury has convicted a man in the 2011 shooting death of a man at Atherton Terrace Apartments in Flint.

Demario Deshawn Bonds, 32, was found guilty of first degree premeditated murder, along with other charges in connection with the death of Michael Jones.

Jones died after being shot 14 times on July 7, 2011. Thirteen of those bullets hit him in the back.

According to testimony from the trial, Jones was hanging around with people he believed to be his friends, including Bonds. Some witnesses testified that Bonds believed that Jones had been involved in the murder of his brother and that was his motivation for the shooting.

Bond faces up to life in prison when sentenced on Feb. 8.
