KINGSTON, MI (WNEM) -

A Mid-Michigan high school was placed on lockdown after a threat was written on a bathroom stall.

Matt Drake, the superintendent of Kingston Schools, said the unspecific threat prompted school officials to place the school on lockdown and contact police.

Drake said Kingston Police and Michigan State Police searched the school with powder-sniffing dogs.

The building was cleared and Kingston High School was dismissed 10 minutes late.
