Indiana restaurant aids in Flint water crisis efforts

Posted: Updated:

A restaurant in South Bend, Indiana is helping Flint residents get clean drinking water.

The Skillet Restaurant is exchanging meals for cases of water. The restaurant has collected more than 4,000 cases of water already.

They're offering a free Polish buffet for every pack of water a customer brings.

The owner said they have served more than 3,000 customers and business has been booming at a rate of 300 people per hour.

"Our community has always been awesome. They've always taken care of where the call is of need and once again they did that," said David Vite, restaurant owner.

The restaurant also received a truck-load of water donations.
