GENESEE COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A Genesee County lottery club is $1 million richer.

The Lucky 18 Lottery Club won $1 million from the Michigan Lottery by matching the five white balls in the Jan. 13 Powerball drawing.

The number were 04-08-19-27-34.

The ticket was purchased at the Beacon & Bridge Market, 820 N. Saginaw St. in Holly.

“I collected everyone’s money and bought 22 Powerball tickets the day of the drawing,” said club member Diana Rushlow. “The next morning, a few of us were about to begin our normal Thursday morning meeting when another club member asked me if I bought the tickets at the Beacon & Bridge. When he told me a winner was bought there, we started checking the tickets right away.”

The members, a group of health care professionals, called the Lottery and confirmed they had a $1 million winner, according to the Michigan Lottery.

Rushlow gathered all 18 members to tell them the good news.

“The looks on their faces were priceless,” Rushlow said.

Each member received an equal share of the prize, about $55,000, the Michigan Lottery said.
