FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Attorney General Bill Schuette spoke on Monday about expanding his office's investigation into the ongoing Flint water crisis.

Schuette will add former Wayne County prosecutor Todd Flood and former FBI director in Detroit, Andy Arena, to his team.

“This investigation will be thorough, this investigation will be exhaustive and this investigation will be independent,” Schuette said. “And this investigation is about beginning the road back. The road back to rebuild and to regain and to restore trust in government.”

Schuette's team is working to determine if any state laws were broken during the Flint water crisis.
