GLADWIN, MI (WNEM) -

Three suspects are in custody, accused of more than 20 separate pharmacy break-ins throughout Michigan’s Lower Peninsula.

The suspects, who have not been named, are a 39-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, both from Fenton. Also, a 31-year-old from Rose Township.

They were arrested after Gladwin City Police began investigating the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Nov. 2015.

Suspects took more than $3,000 worth of prescription drugs in the incident.

As part of the investigation the Gladwin Police Department requested information from other police agencies that had similar incidents, including the 2013 robbery of the Harbor Drug 2 Pharmacy in the Village of Deckerville.

The case has been forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office for review to see if the office will take the lead on charges for all of the cases throughout the state.
