Former emergency manager to testify before Congress

WASHINGTON, DC (WNEM) -

The man who presided over Flint when it split from Detroit’s water system is now being asked to testify before Congress.

Darnell Earley will testify at the hearing on the Flint water crisis Feb. 3.

The committee hearing is titled "Examining Federal Administration of the Safe Drinking Water Act in Flint, Michigan."

The other witnesses are:

  • Joel Beavais, acting deputy assistant administrator, Office of Water, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
  • Miguel Del Toral, research, Region 5 Water Division, U.S. EPA
  • Keith Creagh, director, Michigan Department of Environmental Quality
