Group from New York promises to continue water deliveries

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

And members of a Baptist church in Buffalo, New York are lending a helping hand as well.

The True Bethel Baptist Church has been collecting water from all over western New York as part of Operation H2O.

And on Friday, a team of volunteers personally delivered that water to Flint.

"We really felt that by coming out here and doing this, we could help a community,” said volunteer Robert Rich. “As Pastor Prigon was saying last night, 'A problem created by man can be solved by man.' So that's what we're out here trying to do."

True Bethel has three trucks loaded with water coming from Buffalo to Flint.

They said they'll keep the deliveries coming as long as the crisis continues.
