Tennis association laid out plans for courts, green space

BAY CITY, MI (WNEM) -

The Bay Community Tennis Association laid out plans before the city finance committee on Monday night.

They want to build eight courts on the site of the former Jefferson Elementary on Park Avenue.

It would include a playground and green space.

"So a family could come, and even if they didn't want to play tennis, they can play on the playground, they can have a picnic," said Joe Ricard, Tennis Association president.

The association is partnering with several organizations to make this happen, but is accepting donations.
