Senate Minority Leader sends letter to Gov. Snyder demanding action on Flint water crisis

Posted: Updated:
FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Senate Minority Leader Jim Ananich, D-Flint, spoke out against the handling of the Flint water crisis.

Ananich sent a letter to Gov. Rick Snyder on Jan. 31 demanding action on efforts to provide help to families with young children.

"Enough is enough. My community has suffered too much to be used as a pawn in some ideological battle pitting us against the federal government," Ananich said. "The only thing I want to hear from this administration is 'what else do you need?' from not until this problem is fixed," Ananich said.

In the letter Ananich also requested several actions of relief from Snyder's administration. Those actions included fresh, bottled water to be delivered to residents on a regular basis, reimbursement to residents for their water bills, and other relief efforts.
