Senate minority leader Jim Ananich is running out of patience with Gov. Rick Snyder and the handling of the Flint water crisis.

"It's become unbelievably clear that they just unable to handle this crisis and they need to step up," Ananich said.

On Tuesday, he addressed his bitterness in a three page letter to the executive office of the governor venting is displeasures.

In his letter to Snyder, the state senator is asking for a waiver and a $10 million supplemental expansion for women, infants and children under the WIC program.

He also wants see all homes with pregnant women, nursing mothers and children under 6 receive fresh bottled water, along with ready-made formula delivered to their homes until it is clear the tap water is safe to drink.

And he wants better testing for lead contamination done immediately.

“I'm tired of the spin, I'm tired of the meetings saying they are going to do things,” Ananich said. “The governor tweeted last night that we are going to listen, learn, fix and build. We are tired of him learning. We are tired of him listening.  He needs to start building and fixing now.”

Ananich’s frustrations and demands come at a time when volunteers from all over the country are donating bottled water to citizens of Flint. Although he appreciates the humanitarian efforts, he believes this can't last forever.

"We shouldn’t have to rely on bottled water and filters and these sort of these testing kits as the only solution of state government,” Ananich said. “This is not a third world country, this is the United States of America.”
