Group from Baltimore brings water to Michigan

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Help came to Flint in a 16-wheeler, all the way from Baltimore.

Don Heasley is the C.O.O of Shoe City in Baltimore.

“We are just really thankful to our community for donating the water, to pacific logistic corporation for bring it out here for us at their expense,” Heasley said. “Everybody just stepped up and just tries to help out where ever they can.”

He joined forces with Stokey Cannady and the Stokey Project along with Marcie Crump and arranged to have this water dropped off at the North Central Church of Christ in Flint.

“I connected with Marcie, and Marcie connected with you, and I connected with Shoe City, and Shoe City got the trucking company,” Cannady said. “So it's like one big family. Consider we had to get the water here on time make sure that people knew that Baltimore cared.”
