CARROLLTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Tomorrow is Fat Tuesday and that means thousands will be chowing down on a paczki.

St. John Paul II parish in Saginaw is hosting a paczki sale, selling original, non-filled paczki for $10 for a dozen.

Fat Tuesday is the day many Christians indulge themselves before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.

Organizers said it's a fun tradition that they would like to keep every year.

"We do this because this has been a tradition passed down for about 80 years now at our parish. So it's a good time for the parish community to come out, get involved, and have a good time make paczkis," said chairman, Jim Szynwelski.

You still have time to buy. The sale wraps up at 6 p.m., at St. Josaphat Education Center in Carrollton Township.
