SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) -

Many Flint parents are concerned about the safety of the water for their children.

Now, the youth of Saginaw are joining in on the relief effort.

The Saginaw High Honor Society is launching a school wide effort to collect water for Flint.

Students are teaming up with the teen advisory council to push for the community effort.

“I am so proud of our students for this effort they came to me and organized this because they see their sister city in crisis and they want to make sure they are part of the solution to the problem,” said teacher Janice Davis

They gathered 150 cases and jugs of water that will be delivered to Bronell Elementary School.
