A husband's efforts to figure out his wife’s Fitbit data lead to a big surprise.

YoungPTone, identified as David, posted on Reddit that his wife’s Fitbit was showing her heartbeat consistently high over a course of several days.

The New York City man also noted that she logged 10 hours in the fat burning zone, which he did not think was accurate based on her activity level.

So David took to Reddit to figure out if there was something wrong with her sensor, and if there was a way to reset or recalibrate the device.

Various advice was offered, but one comment stood out. A user asked if there was a possibility that his wife was pregnant, saying that could explain the elevated heart rate.

One day later David was back on his Reddit feed to announce he was in fact going to be a father. He also assured everyone that he doesn’t work for Fitbit. “This is real, the fear is real, the excitement is very real! I am a regular guy who was looking for the communities help with his wife’s technology issue (we’ve all been there, right?). “

The couple is due with their first child in October, and have even started a Twitter handle, @BabyFitBit, to track their journey.
