Cell phone allegedly stolen from student, adult charged

FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

One person has been charged after a cell phone was allegedly stolen from a student.

On Feb. 4 at 2:30 p.m. a 16-year-old student outside of Northwestern High School approached the Flint Police School Resource Officer.

He said his cell phone had been taken from him while walking home.

The officer began checking the area, and found an adult, and minor, investigators say the minor had the stolen cell phone on him.

The adult, Jermaine Snowden, 18, has been arraigned on a charge of unarmed robbery.

A petition has been submitted for review by the Genesee County Prosecutor’s Office for charges against the minor.
