FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

A major shake-up in Flint after three high-ranking city officials are out.

TV5 reporter Ronnie Duncan confirmed early Friday afternoon that Flint Police Chief James Tolbert and Flint Fire Chief David Cox Jr. were both fired by Mayor Karen Weaver Friday morning.

Weaver's office has confirmed the changes, and announced that Weaver would look at everyone presently employed with the City of Flint and in 60-90 days make a decision on who is staying.

In addition to the police and fire chiefs, Weaver has relieved city administrator Natasha Henderson of her responsibilities.

"I'm doing what I told the people who voted for me that I would do," Weaver said. "My focus is moving the city of Flint forward and I feel these personnel changes are necessary to keep us on the right path."
