The Unity Club in Saginaw hosted the Recovery Community Game Night.
The free event featured door prizes in celebration of Black History Month.
Organizers called it an alcohol-free event, raising awareness about addiction.
“This community, it needs to be brought to our attention that this is a disease that affects us in every area of our lives,” said Doug Carter, Unity Club. “So we have to be a holistic approach about our process of recovery. This is what we are doing here tonight.”
The organization said communities that recover together, grow together.
The event welcomed more than 100 people.
