Orchestra to celebrate black American composers

Posted: Updated:

Classical music will fill the halls of the Whiting this weekend.

The Flint Symphony Orchestra is hosting a concert on Saturday Feb. 20, honoring some of the great black American composers in history.

TV5 caught up with the man who will conducting the symphony, Enrique Diemecke, who talked about the theme for Saturday's show.

"We believe that in music you can find people that go through struggles and then go into adventures and they will succeed," Diemecke said.

The show starts at 7:30, at the Whiting in Flint.

Tickets start at just $10.
