DETROIT (AP) -

Authorities say a man who worked as a dealer at a Detroit casino is accused in a cheating conspiracy that involved six other people.

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette on Monday announced charges in the case, which involved hundreds of dollars of individual payouts to players on lost bets during games of Texas hold'em at MotorCity Casino.

Schuette says state police investigated following a request from the casino.

Schuette's office say 53-year-old Darryl Green of Detroit worked as a dealer in 2014 and conspired to make payouts on loosing bets or not collect payment on lost bets. Investigators say the other six people involved knew Green and "associated with him" before the suspected cheating.

The Associated Press sent an email seeking comment on Monday morning from a lawyer for Green.
