SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

A winter storm is expected to hit Mid-Michigan starting Wednesday morning and crews said they're getting ready.

“What we do know is that it's going to snow. Question is how much,” said Simeon Martin.

Martin is the chief foreman of the streets division in Saginaw.

He said he's making sure drivers are rested and snow plows are prepared to hit the streets.

"Making sure the trucks are up and ready to go and we're loading them up with salt and we're ready to go," Martin said.

On Tuesday, it's sunny with mild temperatures making it feel more like spring. But Mid-Michigan could see up to a foot of snow in the snow storm starting on Wednesday.

Some said they picked up a few extra items in case they're snowed in later this week.

While many residents said they're ready for winter to come to an end, they also say unusual weather patterns are something you get used to living in Michigan.
