SAGINAW TOWNSHIP, MI (WNEM) -

Ann Craig was a loyal customer for a consignment shop, Wears Like New.

“I come probably once a month or so on a Saturday,” Craig said. “I usually try to get here right at 10 before they get too busy.”

The last time Ann Craig visited her favorite consignment shop in Saginaw Township, she discovered an empty and dark store-front.

“You can tell from their front window that it's vacant, and I was shocked when I looked at Facebook page and found they had closed,” Craig said.

Wears Like New's business model gave the customer 40 percent of what their donated items sold for.

Think of it like a group garage sale.

Craig had both items left in the store, and money in her account that she had not redeemed.

According to the store's Facebook page, they closed because of things they say are out of their control.

But it's not known what will happen to customer's money, or clothes left inside, clearly visible through the windows.

We called and Facebook messaged the store, with no reply.

“She's stating that there's 11,500 people that she deals with on a regular basis, and that it's all of our responsibilities that we keep current on our accounts,” Craig said.
