For Trenton Carillo and his brothers, Wednesday night's mountain of snow means dollar bill signs in their eyes.

“Go out and shovel I guess, try and make some money,” Carillo said.

They are going around to shovel neighbors’ driveways for cash.

“It depends how big the driveways are, I'd say about 150 by yourself,” Carillo said.

But Carillo isn't the only one taking part in the daunting task, people across the area had to dig their way out of their homes this morning.

Lou Eckenrod and his friend have taken it upon themselves to shovel the walk in their apartment complex, they said for the ladies that live there.

“I think the weather has been goofy lately,” Eckenrod said.

But they also say they'd rather have winter weather like here in Michigan, than what the rest of the country got.

“I don't like shoveling the snow, but we've been pretty lucky,” Eckenrod said.

And if you think shoveling off your car was bad this morning, imagine doing it for 55 cars.

Bill Wills works at Todd Wenzel car dealership in Davison.

He and his co-workers said Thursday will be a day of clearing out the snow.

“After a storm like this, it'll probably be most of the day,” Wenzel said.

And the work doesn't stop once all the cars are brushed off.

“Still a mess because we’ve got to plow, move them, move them all back after we brush it off. Just finding a place to put the snow is a problem but we do the best we can,” Wills said.

But Wills said he has one trick to beat the blues on a day like today

“Hot chocolate, donuts and hopefully customers to keep us warm inside,” Wills said.

Carillo said after he makes some shoveling money, he know how he'll spend the rest of his snow day.

“Just relax and shovel my driveway,” Carillo said.
