FLINT, MI (WNEM) -

Gov. Rick Snyder's administration released more emails regarding the Flint water crisis.

Dozens of people were infected by the legionnaire's outbreak in Flint. Nine people died before Snyder told the public what was going on earlier this year.

According to the Detroit News, members of his administration knew about the outbreak earlier than previously revealed. In an email dated January 2015, the DEQ at the time, Brad Wurfel, said he didn't think Flint's water should be called safe until more testing was done on the outbreak.

According to the Detroit Free Press, members of the governor's communications team were emailed about the outbreak in March, but several staffers never opened the emails until recently.

Former press secretary Dave Murray was among those who received the emails. He was reassigned to another department on Feb. 25, 2016.
