MT. PLEASANT, MI (WNEM) -

No one was injured after a vehicle collided with a police car.

A trooper from the Michigan State Police Mt. Pleasant Post was assisting a motorist Thursday night when a vehicle struck the patrol car. It happened in Mt. Pleasant.

A 17-year-old girl from Blanchard lost control and struck the car, police said.

The trooper was not in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The teenager told police she saw the police car and attempted to stop, but lost control and slid into the back of the patrol car, police said.

There was minor damage to the rear of the patrol car. The teenager’s vehicle had significant damage to the passenger side.
