UNADILLA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -

A 51-year-old man accused of making harassing phone calls to a Livingston County woman who was his sixth-grade teacher will undergo a psychological exam.

The Livingston Daily Press & Argus reports Steven Kremski's attorney asked the court Monday to refer him to the state's Center for Forensic Psychiatry for a competency exam. The judge agreed.

Kremski is charged with stalking and malicious use of a telecommunications device. The charging document says Kremseki repeatedly harassed his former teacher between 2011 and the day of his arrest earlier this year by making the phone calls.

According to court records, Kremski is jailed on a $100,000 cash or surety bond and will remain in jail before the exam.
