EAST LANSING, MI (AP) -

Officials say norovirus has been confirmed as the cause of gastrointestinal illness that sickened at least 375 people at Michigan State University's Kellogg Center.

The Ingham County Health Department announced the findings Tuesday related to illnesses Feb. 16 to 21 that were linked to the East Lansing facility. The Ingham County Health Department says it's not yet identified exactly how the virus spread through the hotel and conference center.

No new illnesses have been reported.

Kellogg Center voluntarily suspended food service operations for two days last week. Food was served again starting last Wednesday after the facility was cleaned.

Norovirus is part of a family of viruses that are spread person-to-person and cause flu-like symptoms including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramping.
