Stephen Sheffey spent part of his day doing a good deed for his neighbor. Piles of snow were left in the driveway after our recent bout of winter weather.

"It's cool. I love helping people out. It's always good to help somebody out. I mean I believe it's better to give than receive anyway," Sheffey said.

Parts of Genesee County saw 10 inches of the white stuff, leaving folks like Sheffey no choice but to dig out.

"It's cool. I got to do what I got to do. I don't want to get stuck," Sheffey said.

A few blocks away Doug Banks was doing the same thing. He said he's like a lot of people in flint getting in a workout thanks to all the snow.

"Cardio. Cardio. You know cardio? I can't be sitting on the chair listening to you," Banks said.

In the residential areas, whether it's using the roads or the sidewalks, the snow makes it an adventure.

Sheffey said our roller coaster weather we've had over the last couple of weeks is just something we all have to get used to this time of year.

"I'm outside with shorts on hooping and then the next day it's cold. I mean it is what it is," Sheffey said.
