SAGINAW COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

Maneuvering though several inches of snow, some drivers had a tough time getting around Wednesday.

Jessica Keller at Mike's Wrecker in Saginaw said over the last 24 hours, they've been very busy.

"I can't even count at this point I mean last night the phones were ringing non-stop and it's been the same thing today," Keller said.

Tuesday night's snow storm dumped a foot of snow on most of Saginaw County. By Wednesday morning, several drivers got stuck in parking lots and side roads that haven't been plowed.

“You think you can get down there but you're probably not going to be able to so if you can just stay home," Keller said.

Travel was still difficult for people on foot.

One man said he walked an hour through knee deep snow to get to work and run some errands.

"Got to walk to the credit union, from the credit union to Walmart and then I'll hop on the bus to go home. I’ve got to get my groceries today," he said.

Even in comparison to last week’s snow, Keller said Mike’s Wrecker had received a lot more calls this time around.

"It's been busier this time. We got a lot more snow so our volume has completely increased," Keller said.
